Here we go...yet again
Twelve years.... That's how long its been since my random mumblings have been thrust into the void. It's amazing how things can change so much over the years. 9 months ago I started this chapter but couldn't bring myself to finish it.
2015 is when everything went to shit. I was in an office job, been at eBay/Stubhub for almost 10 years. My wife at the time had cancer that was removed in November of that year, days after I was let go. I moved over to Netflix....followed shortly by the supervisor that got fired for firing me. Netflix was forgone in 2017 for a better paying job at a company called Bstock. One of my dear friends Janelle followed me and is still there to this day. The divorce came about in early 2018.
Those next few months were a blur. My only comfort being Disney until I couldn't afford to travel. My close friend Rob was and still is a great support system; in spite of our last Disney trip being soured by Susan's bullshit. He got me a part time job at Target which spurred my initial weight loss and supported me during the initial period and kept me grounded.
I lost my job there in December and never regained my footing, drifting from job to job. I thought I had my place at an insurance company as a Fraud Investigator but thanks to some drama there, it didn't stick. Now I wander the corridors of a medical lab.
I think emotions and getting into one's head plays a big part in mental health...and the path to weight loss. I lost a majority of my weight when the divorce was happening...largely in part to a part time freight job at Target. I dropped down to 240-245 in that time frame. Susan...the ex wife called it a "divorce diet"...in the typical Dyer family condescending tone. Sure, Susan...your vegan diet had nothing to do with you looking like a skeleton dropping 3 dress sizes.
